Steve Herrmann, PhD

Dr. Steve Herrmann brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his consulting practice, rooted in a diverse career that spans healthcare, research, and business strategy. Beginning his journey in direct patient care with a focus on physical medicine and rehabilitation, Steve's passion for understanding functional outcomes after orthopedic injuries and surgeries led him to pursue a PhD in Measurement & Evaluation from Arizona State University. He further honed his research skills through a post-doctoral fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Steve’s career then expanded into the health system arena, where he played a pivotal role in supporting the growth of a startup company. His leadership encompassed various areas including learning and development, operations, IT, research, and innovation. To enhance his strategic approach, Steve completed an executive MBA, broadening his perspective and strengthening his ability to deliver comprehensive, data-driven solutions.

With a proven track record in strategic innovation, medical affairs, and product development, Steve has also excelled in talent management, having hired and managed hundreds of employees across various roles. His academic contributions are equally sound, with over 60 peer-reviewed research publications and more than 10,000 citations in other scholarly work. Additionally, Steve has shared his findings globally and has taught university courses in kinesiology and biomechanics.
